- Tom Ford Japon Noir

Japon Noir is a leathery, musky amber and patchouli heavy EdP which is rife with pleasant non-descript spices. Powdery, smoky outing that has similarities to Tom Ford's Bois Rouge, with a sustained presence of bergamot that adds a nice pungence bordering on fruitiness (thanks to the sweet port wine).
Japon Noir is heavy, appropriate for cooler temps and for evening occasions.
Our feedback: A beautiful fragrance, perfectly unisex for both men and women, with an odd ability to be very masculine on men but feminine on women. As the name implies it indeed envokes images of Japan on first impression. The fragrance opens with a fresh burst and slight flowery and sweet touch of spices and settles in something that resembles a classic French fougere. The final residue ends with amber and wood notes. It's surprising that Japon Noir is not more popular. A great fragrance that should bring plenty of compliments.
